This is Martin Miragoli at work!

Hi! My name is Martin, I am a PhD candidate at COGITOunder the supervision of Prof. Christoph Kelp, Prof. Mona Simion and Prof. Adam J. Carter. My research focuses mainly on epistemology, with a special focus on issues of social justice and decolonisation. In the past few years, I have been writing about the impact of feminist perspectives and critical race theory on the way we understand the functioning of new generative AI technologies, as well as on the way we theorise about central epistemological concepts, including knowledge and justification.

I am currently employed by the Business Department at the University of Glasgow as Research Assistant for the project “Understanding Epistemic Injustice and Oppression in Risk Communication” (PI: Dr. Adekola). Before that, I have held a RA position for the project “The Epistemological Dimensions of Science Engagement and Vaccine Scepticism” (PIs: Prof. Simion & Dr. Adekola) (Fall semester 2022). During the academic year 2021/22 I have been nominated for the University of Glasgow's Teaching Excellence Award in the category of Best Feedback.
